Letter from the President

Dear friends:

From the moment on the Organizing committee offered me the Presidency of the Third International Congress on Sleep Apnoea I dedicated my time and responsibility trying to make this great event as important and as successful as the previous ones. I would like to thank all the entities and persons that made it possible to have a new perspective on the treatment of respiratory sleep disorders with dental appliances. A new way that gives our dental clinics the opportunity to make these diseases known in our society, so that this issue becomes more and more aware of its importance and is daily presented in the media.

The society asks and calls us for solutions to their diseases and we have the obligation to grant their demands. Therefore the formation in this field has to continue, as it becomes permanently necessary for the society that trusts in us. This is the reason, why a multidisciplinary congress like the Third International Congress on Sleep Apnoea is indispensable to establish the formation and to hear at first hand the evolution and knowledge that the diverse and well-respected lecturers will share with us.

From its inception the congress unified different specialists, so that the connections between them become more frequently. We have contacted all diverse professionals related with apnoea, beginning with neurophysiologists, pneumologists, otolaryngologists, odontologists and others. The results are very positive and our patients are grateful and especially well rested.

In this difficult economical moments Spain can not flinch from the tendency of the international medical society to follow the progress in the treatment of these kinds of diseases that are temporarily better known and therefore solutions are required.

As a result and because of my position I hope and wish that the third national congress on sleep apnoea will run a path on the same level like the previous ones. Thanks to the scientific niveau of the speakers that we present you every year and with your participation we will achieve this aim for sure. You are invited.
